The words of Ave Maria are much used by the Roman Catholics in prayer to the Virgin Mary. The first part is from the angels salutation to Mary found in Luke 1:28, 42.
The English translation is Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
