I will honor Christmas in my heart
And try to keep it all the year.

I know there is alot of controversy about the seculariztion of Christmas. Many people feel we start to celebrate it much too soon and, having been raised in the church, I can understand their point of view. Christmas is a liturgical season beginning on December 25. The preceeding four weeks are celebrated as Advent, waiting for the birth of Jesus much as people in his time anticipated the coming of the Messiah.

But I also feel that Christmas is a state of mind ... and it is this state of mind I wish to encourage. Let us honor Christmas in our hearts and we will truly have what was promised on that night two thousand years ago ...
