Everybody knows that x-rays are dangerous. They change the basic molecular structure of cells, including the DNA instructions for specific cell growth. X-rays can produce severe visible symptoms as well as doing all kinds of unseen damage. Well, don't tell this to your dentist because he may become annoyed saying something like, "Oh...the x-rays we take are like standing in the sun for ten minutes." Wrong! X-rays penetrate your tissues throughout, even to the point of changing the water in your body cells to hydrogen peroxide. (H20>H2O2) Can you imagine hydrogen peroxide percolating within the fabric of your body? Burning eyes with x-rays is not different from what "modern" medicine used to do to burn out childrens' tonsils and adenoids. Some people are more sensitive to x-rays than others.

Think about what happens as the dentist exposes your face from all sides to x-rays. Where is the central point about which the x-ray source is rotated? It is your tongue. The tongue is exposed from all sides. Why is the tongue more sensitive to radiation? The surface of the tongue is composed of some of the most rapidly reproducing tissue in your body. This type of tissue is most sensitive to radiation.
