The
Second Millennium
(I wrote this poem in December 1999)
by
Gigi Krop
As
we await this special day,
We
fret and worry about Y2K.
Two
thousand years of modern history,
Won’t
tell us what the future will be.
|
Open
your eyes and try to see,
There’s
more than just you and me.
People
can rise to a greater height
Open
their eyes to deeper insight.
Learn
the difference between wrong and right.
We
dream about memories of yesterday
And
live our lives the same old way.
For
peace and love the Messiah awaits
While
the techies worship famous Bill Gates.
As
the clock strikes midnight
at
the rising of the first light
The
Millennium is finally here.
“So
what” replied the wise old seer,
The
day of technology is here
and
that is our greatest fear.
|
|
And
what about 2001?
Will
it bring the holy one?
Or
just another day, another year,
The
shedding of the eternal tear.
For
the loss of our sanity
The
ignorance of humanity.
ponders
the Messiah with a sigh.

Another World
by Gigi Krop
'O
great winged unicorn
take me for a ride
fly me to another realm.
The
world beyond, where
the
stars of the constellations
come alive and the
gods and goddesses reign,
where the great mysteries
of
life are revealed.
Fly
great Pegasus
leap over the rainbow
to the other side -
beyond the flaws of humanity
beyond selfishness and greed,
to
another world
where the truth is
clear
and confusion is
conquered.
let
the stars of the constellations
shine in my eyes,
the
rainbow of truth form an
aura around my third eye,
and the purity of space
cleans my soul.
O'
great winged unicorn
take
me for a ride and
fly me to Another World.

The
Threshold
by
Gigi Krop
a
deep resounding voice
calls from
within
a
soft hand reaches out
and touches a heart
melancholy
brown eyes see
Truth within
the soul
the
fantasies take wing and
thoughts
travel through time
patterns
of reality become
scattered
while
new images take form
you have
tread upon
the threshold
of fantasy.

People Are Like Diamonds
by Gigi Krop
People
are like Diamonds,
they
have many facets
and
great depth.
They
reflect light and
produce
all the colors
in
the rainbow;
They
are very precious
and
take a special
feat
of nature.
Each
facet is unique
unto
itself, each has
a
special beauty.
People
are like Diamonds,
they
are not perfect
most
have flaws.
It
is possible to ignore
the
beauty and see
only
the flaws;
overlook
the brilliance
and
the inner light,
forget
the symmetrical
design
so simple and yet complex.
People
are like diamonds
concentrate
on the beauty
overlook
the
Flaws.
