"We found this space to
be a warm and inviting space. The main axis running down
the lobby so powerful, especially the way it has been
photographed and presented in this project is
phenomenal. The palette of furniture is subtle, clean
and classic and allows the architecture to shine behind
it. The whole composition of it is wonderful. It is a
very simple, elegant, well-crafted solution that is very
appropriate for a financial planning firm because it
evokes a sense of affluence. It is elegant and it just
makes one think that this is a very successful firm.
It's a small and warm space, but it's very powerfully
done, a simple solution elegantly executed. The strength
of this solution is the cleverness of the way the space
is modulated. It gets larger at the entrances to all of
the offices and all of the spaces that are off of it
allowing what would otherwise be a very bland, long
space to have a lot of light and opportunity for more
functions than just mere passage. From a functional
point of view on a day to day basis, it will allow for a
very inviting and very productive work environment, not
to mention the esteem that it will suggest to the
clientele that come to visit this building. The finishes
are very rich, but not fussy."

“It took more than a
flair for decorating to create this elegantly appointed
home. When it came to selecting and arranging the
furnishings, it was methodical attention to detail that
transformed the ordinary into polished perfection."

"Our advertising bears the slogan 'A
New Quality of Light'. The Concept Center we operate today is an outstanding example
of that promise, and we appreciate Gass Design's significant contribution to the
successful realization of our marketing concepts.
When we began this project, we had a substantial opportunity and a
monumental challenge. We had a variety of innovative lighting products that we
wanted to present to customers, but did not have the kind of budgets that our leading
competitors had. We had an idea of how to meet this challenge, but no idea how to
actually realize it. Gass Design did more than design our Concept Center. He
partnered with our marketing staff, understood our vision and translated it into a
remarkable, functional, and attractive space at a cost we could manage. We are proud
to see the variety of design awards this project has received."

of heightened allusions and playful metaphors, in a spirit pure to it's concept and
execution."

"No matter where you are, you are probably aware of Tom Gass's showroom design
work. The prestigious Antron Design Awards went to Tom an unprecedented four years
in a row, two years capturing the Grand Prize.* Remember a very bold, wildly red,
white and blue showroom with stars and stripes everywhere, overscaled and dramatic?
That was Tom Gass for United Chair in Washington, D.C.
How about the elegant Merchandise Mart black and tan showroom with
chairs displayed in puddles of light - the one with the stripped line path that drew your
eye straight to the back of the space through a glass wall and into a conference
room? Tom Gass and United, together again.
The New York and Los Angeles United showrooms are no less spectacular,
each one unique, each responsive to its physical location and clientele. For
Carnegie in New York, another award-winning showroom. Gass this time captured the
essence of quality product throughout innovative and understated display.
The future for Tom Gass appears to be one of continued success as he
works his spatial magic with corporate clients and manufacturers in the development of
graphics, image, showrooms and interiors. What a good fortune for us all."
