RECORDS FOUND ON JOSEPH
Joseph was enumerated in the 1800 U.S. Census for Kershaw Co. SC. He was listed as having 4 males under 10, and one male over 20. He also had 1 female under 10 and one female over 20 with no slaves. His brother Benjamin was also shown on the 1800 census of Kershaw Co, and had 2 males under 10 and 1 male over 20. He had 1 female under 10 and one over 10 and one female over 45 which could be his mother if his father had died earilier as discussed in James' Group Sheet..
Joseph was noted again in the Tn records when he witnessed a deed on
25 July 1813 in Rhea Co Tn. His wife's name has not been discovered as
of this time nor were other records found for him in Tn. However
many references to his children's lives were found in nearby counties.
