Dr. Brady was named Vice Provost of the Division of Health Sciences at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut in June of 2008. He has been at U.B. for the past 12 years, serving as an Associate Professor of Clinical Sciences in the College of Naturopathic Medicine and College of Chiropractic for his first seven years and as the Director of the Human Nutrition Institute for the past five. The Health Sciences Division at U.B. consists of the College of Naturopathic Medicine, College of Chiropractic, Human Nutrition Institute, Acupuncture Institute, Fones School of Dental Hygiene, and new programs in development including, BS-Medical Technology, M.S. Physician Assistant, M.S., and Doctorate of Pharmacy.

A groundbreaking paper on Fibromyalgia Syndrome entitled Differential Diagnosis of Fibromyalgia Syndrome: Proposal of a Model and Algorithm for Patients Presenting with the Primary Symptom of Chronic Widespread Pain by Drs. Michael Schneider (Univ. of Pitt.), David M. Brady (Univ. of Bridgeport) and Stephen Perle (Univ. of Bridgeport) was published in the July 2006 Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics.

Dr. Brady was once again selected as a featured speaker for the 15th Annual International & American Association of Clinical Nutritionists(IAACN) Scientific Symposium "Exocrine Disease Physiology: Support in Chronic Inflammatory & Autoimmune Conditions". Dr. Brady was a featured speaker for the 2006 Annual Symposium sponsored by the American Chiropractic Association Council on Nutrition and the American Clinical Board of Nutrition held from April 27-30, 2006 in Clearwater, FL. Dr. Brady was invited as the keynote speaker for the Phoenix Wellcare "Nutrition & Environmental Health" annual conference in Sonoma, CA on November 5, 2005. His presentation " Innovative Diagnostic Testing for Integrative Practives; An Evidence-Based Approach" was very well received by integrative medical practitioners from around the United States.

A new national seminar series entitled "Implementing Functional Medicine" featuring a speaker panel including Dr. Brady and Dr. Jeff Moss was launched in October of 2004 and will run through 2008 . Dr. David Brady was named Director of the Human Nutrition Institute of the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, CT as of July 1, 2004. Dr. Brady has been appointed as Chief Medical Officer of Designs for Health, Inc., a nutraceutical and nutritional supplement manufacturer for health care professional as of January 2004. Dr. Brady returned to Europe by popular demand! From June 4th through June 12th of 2002, Dr. Brady was busy speaking and meeting with practitioners in England, Germany,and Switzerland regarding the latest in diagnostic laboratory studies and therapeutic strategies for the functional treatment of chronic disorders. There were also follow-up seminars scheduled in Switzerland on September 7th and the U.K. on September 13th & 14th, 2002.

Dr. David Brady and Tom Patavino, MS, DC have published a paper entitled "Natural Medicine & Nutritional Therapy as an Alternative Treatment in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus" in the October 2001 issue of the journal Alternative Medicine Review. Dr. Brady speaks at the introductory meeting of the European Acadamy of Functional Medicine (EAFM), which was included as part of the procedings of the annual congress of the Institut fur Umweltkrankheiten (IFU) in Bad Emstal, Germany on April 20th and 21st, 2001. Dr. Brady was one of two American speakers on Functional Medicine. The speaker panel included a multitude of notorious university-affiliated environmental, functional, and genetic medical specialists from throughout Europe.

Dr. Brady was a featured presenter at the IAACN Symposium in  Las Vegas with Kilmer McCully, MD & Mildred Seelig, MD, PhD on August 26, 2000 and received rave reviews for his presentation on "Chronic Gastrointestinal Infections and Systemic Disease."
