  • World War II Army Enlistment Records Database (when you get there click on "World War II")
    This database contains records of nearly 9 million men and women who enlisted in the United States Army, including the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps. Although incomplete, the records contain data for a majority of the enlistments in the US Army during World War II.
  • World War II Draft Registration Cards - 1942 (requires payment) these are from the Fourth Registration held on 27 April 1942 - for men born 28 April 1877 to 16 February 1897. Presently available for these states: Arkansas*, California*, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana*, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York*, Ohio*, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia (states marked with * are incomplete)

    This organization maintains a listing of those buried at American military cemeteries overseas, and those Missing in Action from World War I, World War II, Korea and Vietnam. They also have a listing of Civil War, Mexican War and Spanish American War veterans buried in Mexico, and those who lost their lives during the Korean War. Many of their databases are searchable online.
