My Stuff
The Wisdom of Ator - If you were a viewer of MST3K during the Joel years, you'll know what this is about.
Star Trek: TNG illustrated poem - From high school.
Star Trek: TNG cartoon - A scribble depicting the dramatic events immediately following the series finale. Also from high school.
Knight Rider computer art - Probably the first "Paint" creation I ever did. This is my homage to that landmark television action-drama series. David Hasselhoff, Glen Larson, and KITT: I salute you.
Make-Your-Own-Movie-Trailer - An elaborate Javascript randomizer.
The AFI 100 - My quest to watch as many of the "Greatest American Films" as I can.

Nine Favorite Movies
The Empire Strikes Back - 1980.

  The Apartment (1960)
  Transformers the Movie (1986)
  Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985)
Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
  Rear Window (1954)
  Seven Samurai (1954)
  This Is Spinal Tap (1984)
  Star Wars (1977)

Nine Favorite Shows - Pres.
The Office - The American version. Currently in its third season, and is quite simply the best show on TV. It's not nearly as entertaining if you haven't followed it from the beginning, so try to at least rent or buy the second season DVD set (the first season was only 6 episodes, and aren't quite as necessary to see, but are still recommended). [IMDB Message Board | Northern Attack ]

How I Met Your Mother - It was a bit rough around the edges in its first season, and it's still a bit too corny at times, but it's become one of the sharpest, funniest sitcoms around these days. [How I Met Your Mother Online]
King of Queens - The star is a heavyweight, and the material is lightweight. Still, it's a consistently funny old-fashioned sitcom.
Knights of Prosperity - From the creators of Ed comes this new comedy about a diverse and multi-ethnic rag-tag bunch who try to rob Mick Jagger's apartment. The title won't help draw viewers, but it's getting better with each episode. [Join the Knights]
Late Show with David Letterman - See below.
Lost - I'm far from obsessed, but it's certainly an addicting show. Newcomers are definitely better off renting the first season DVDs.
MythBusters - Or as some people like to call it, "The Kari Byron Show." And if you're one of those who stumbled on this site by Googling her name, sorry guys, she's taken. Not by [i]me[/i], of course.
Pardon the Interruption - Simply the best darn sports show on TV, although I rarely tune in during football season. Sorry, ladies, Kornheiser is taken, too.
World Series of Poker - The Fox Sports shows are too hum-drum, and the WPT's announcing team drives me nuts. And I actually do find Norman Chad funny, mostly. Has televised poker reached a saturation point? Heck, yeah. It's still nice to tune in for about five minutes at a time, though.

Late Show with David Letterman
  Official Site
The Wahoo Gazette - Daily show recaps and inside info, as written by production coordinator and cameo specialist Mike McIntee.
Comedy Clips - Personal favorites include "Paul Shaffer's Behind the Music" (5/22/98), "Big Man on Campus", "The Letterman Family sitcom" (7/17/97), "Dave Spends the Day with Joe Montana" (5/7/96), "John Malkovich's Top Ten List" (10/15/99), and pretty much anything where Alan Kalter goes nuts.
Late Show Shows - A listing of guests, bits, and Top Ten topics going back to '93.

"Big Red Here..." - The Alan Kalter Project - Great title. An entire web site has been dedicated to the Late Show's hilariously creepy, chauvinistic, and downright psychotic announcer.

Mystery Science Theater 3000
MST3K Info Club - [mst3k]Basics FAQ, Show History, "Ward E" info section.
The MST3K Review - An overview of just about every episode, along with a personal review of the movie and host segments.

Deus Ex Machina - Probably the ultimate MST portal site. Named after the escape pod which Joel used to escape from the SOL, a joke which went over my head the first time I saw that episode.
MST3K Catch Phrase Catalog - This page lists the sources of references that have been made in several episodes, like "I WILL kill him!!"
MST3K Reference Guide - Screengrabs, quotes, episode guides.
Tape Tradin' Outpost - The Info Club's listings for trading or buying copies of episodes from other fans. A godsend for us numbskulls who never thought to tape the series when it was on constantly at the end of Comedy Central's run. Personally, I've had good luck with Hayce.

Books
Mystery Science Theater 3000 Amazing Colossal Episode Guide - By Trace Beaulieu, Kevin Murphy, Michael J. Nelson, et al.
Nitpicker's Guide for Next Generation Trekkers - By Phil Farrand.
Keep Watching the Skies! American Science Fiction Movies of the Fifties - By Bill Warren. This would be of interest to MST3K fans, as all of the '50s sci-fi films that have been featured on the show are critiqued here, as well as nearly every other single film of the era (cheesy and otherwise). Warren gives entertaining summaries, reviews, and behind-the-scenes info.
Yesterday's Tomorrows: The Golden Age of Science Fiction Movie Posters - By Bruce Lanier Wright. The posters of the 30 or so movies included are fun to look at, and each movie is given a one-page review.

I never understood why 'Bill' was short for 'William.'
If anything, it should be short for 'Billiam.'"
