Skyline Drive, Shenandoah National Park, Virginia

Views across the Shenandoah valley from Skline drive which follows the mountain ridges.
Skyland Lodge and environment on Skyline Drive, Shenandoah National Park, about 35 miles from the north, Front Royal, entrance - features gift shop, taproom, motel, and one of the finest restaurants in the region.
Principal visitors center at the Big Meadows lodge, about half way along the hundred mile length of Skyline Drive. Front and rear views, including the gallery which looks out over a large mountain meadow.
"Hog Wall" rest stop with a camping store, restuarant, gift shop, fuel area, and a few cabins.
Numerous scenic overlook driveways provide small scenes . . .
. . . as well as large vistas. And bright clearings . . .
. . . with the dense forests. Some scenic overlooks are small parks with picnic tables and on-site flowing spring water available.available
