Summary of Airframe ADs

68-23-08 Requires a modification to the elevator trim tab.
AFFECTED MODELS: 17-30s S/N 30001-30151.

69-12-04 A Recurring inspection of the stabilizer strut clevises. AD is satisfied by fitting redesigned clevises P/N 193130.
AFFECTED MODELS: 17-30s S/N 30001-30164.

71-10-01 Requires compliance with Bellanca Service Letter 64 and the installation of a drain for the fuel boost pump.
AFFECTED MODELS: 17-30s S/N 30002-30216.

72-01-01 Calls for repetitive 100 hour inspections of the engine flex hose assemblies, until the time hoses are replaced with hose material that meets TSO-C53a Type C.
AFFECTED MODELS: 17-30s S/N 30001-30262.

72-13-03 Calls for replacement of the fuel boost pump switch, modifying the electrical circuit, and installing a placard.
AFFECTED MODELS: 17-30s ALL.

75-11-06 Is a 'one time' directive that calls for modifying the check valve in the vapor return line. It applies to Lycoming powered aircraft only.
AFFECTED MODELS: 17-31 S/N 32-1; 17-31TCs ALL.

75-20-06 Calls for a 100 hour repetitive inspection of the vertical tubes in the tail. Service kit SK1234789-0004 can be installed to satisfy the AD and eliminate the inspections.
AFFECTED MODELS: ALL

76-08-04 The infamous 'wood deterioration' AD. It calls for a thorough inspection for any wood decay. Inspections to be done at every annual.
AFFECTED MODELS: ALL

76-23-03R1 This is a recurring inspection of the exhaust ball flanges, and in my opinion the most important AD on a Viking. It should be performed properly and thoroughly to prevent a fire hazard.
AFFECTED MODELS: 17-30s S/N 30139-30262; 17-31s S/N 32-1 through 32-14.

77-22-02 Is a 100 hour recurring inspection of the nose landing gear engine mount (P/N 191106, 191898). Bellanca service kit SK1267-4019 can be installed to eliminate the inspections and satisfy the AD.
AFFECTED MODELS: 17-30s S/N 30001-30262.

86-25-06 AD to assure all the wing fuel tanks have sump drains.
AFFECTED MODELS: ALL

87-11-01R1 This is a recurring inspection (at annual) of the fuel caps and fuel scupper drains around the filler necks to assure no water can enter the tanks.
AFFECTED MODELS: ALL

90-02-17 A recurring inspection of the main landing gear 'drag strut attach brackets' that can be satisfied by fitting stronger brackets; P/Ns 194153-30 & 194153-40.
AFFECTED MODELS: ALL

96-18-07 A recurring inspection of the nose landing gear 'drag strut brackets' that can be satisfied by following service letter SL B-107 and fitting a new bracket P/N 194650-0.
AFFECTED MODELS: 17-30s S/N 30123-30262; 17-31s S/N 32-1 through 32-14; 17-31TCs S/N 31001-31003.
