Sorry OM didn't quite get UR call this is WB5LLI / Name here is Mike / UR RST 599 / QTH is near New Orleans, LA about 20 miles west of the city / running 100 watts and a G5RV antenna up 25 feet / I use that antenna from 160 to 6 meters /   I operate the WB5LLI  repeater 53.730/52.730 MHz located at 225 feet in St. Rose, LA / also the WB5LLI beacon on 50.060 MHz running 20 watts into a ground plane at 25 feet at in Kenner, LA /  You might also find me on  the GNOARC repeater W5UK/R (444.2/ 449.2 MHz 114.8 PL ) / I am  into antique radios and am an avid SWL / First licensed as a Novice in 1974 I operated a B&W 5100 transmitter and a Realistic DX-150A receiver. Antenna then was a Gotham V-160 vertical. / Later I received a Yaesu FT-101EE as a high school graduation gift from my Grandmother. I upgraded to General then Advanced in 1976. 1977 brought a tower and a Cushcraft ATB-34 for DXing. / I also obtained my Second then First Class Radiotelephone licenses. I have been involved in the communications industry since. I was a Coast Station operator for KEC in the late 70’s. / After returning to college and earning my BS, doing some broadcast engineering along the way, I became involved with telecommunications & SCADA systems in the oil and gas industry. / Married in 1989, my wife and I moved to the current QTH in 1990. / Since then the station has been evolving. / I received my pilots license in 1986 and in 1994 bought a Cessna C-150D.
