Irene Lilly Johnson

Irene Lilly was born on March 26, 1922 in Safford, Arizona. She was the sixth child of Wallace John Lilly and Pauline Coplan: Flora, Oren Bruce, Iva Pearl, Mildred, Lawrence Willis, Irene, Clytia Mae, Ralph George, Max C., Peggy Jean, and Doreen.

Irene was married to Gerald Merton Johnson on June 7, 1936 in Snowflake, Arizona. Gerald is the son of Louis Elias Johnson and Thersa Caroline Flake. Gerald and Irene are the parents of four children: Murene, Jerry Maxine, Wendell Ray, and Gerald Merton Jr.

Irene passed away on September 30, 1940 from complications to giving birth to Gerald Jr. The baby passed away also and they are buried in the Lakeside, Arizona Cemetery.
