This beach town on the Adriatic Sea is still a working port, although not much traffic appears to move through it. We considered this town and the many beach communities to the north of Ortona to be the "Jersey Shore" of Italy. This is where the Italians go to the beach, which is well tended and well attended. The attendants were out before my arrival, straightening the chairs and umbrellas, even raking the beach sand. IT 106
