The first morning in Bermuda I walked out of our room just after sunrise and saw the light on the buildings. It was dazzling, even if the weather through the week turned progressively more ominous. Some people never get enough of this independent island country 500 miles off the coast of North Carolina. Bermudian citizenship is much prized, but with a native population somewhere around 65,000 people, and five cruise ships visiting per week, paradise can become rather crowded.
