Prints are made with either an Epson 2200 printer on Epson paper, with a
longevity rating of 65 years, or a Cymbolic Sciences Color Lightjet laser
printer, on Fuji
Crystal Archive photographic paper. The majority of the photographs available
here are
from medium format film transparency originals, with over four times the
information per frame of a 35mm original. These transparencies are scanned with
a high quality scanner and printed with the inkjet printer or the three color
laser printer, creating
gorgeous color photographic prints of nearly any size.
Many other images beside those shown here are available. Please inquire.
Two options are available for prints:

Who is Waldo Wiley and why should you buy one of his photographs?
These WWW images are an attempt to capture the natural world around us and
transport the viewer into the world of the photo. A documentary approach to the
subjects has been employed to preserve the versimilitude of a scene. Images
have not been manipulated to create scenes that never existed. Only color
corrections have been made to recreate the reality of the light on the
landscape at the time the original exposure was taken.
Actually there is no Waldo Wiley. He has won no awards, has studied with no one famous, and does not have a list of gallery exhibits as long as his arm. But as you can see from the photographs included on this site, Kent Wiley does have a keen sense of photographic composition.
Kent Wiley was born an only child in South America. As a child of military parents he moved constantly as a youth, his camera always beside him to document the blur of scenery. Tragedy beset the small family frequently. To compensate Kent looked away from the lives of people, and recorded images of the land. At times the family was forced to hide from oppressive regimes. There was no returning to the north, so they had to find a way to survive by their wits and their cunning. Photography became a luxury that young Kent could no longer indulge in. His parents were lost in a tropical storm that destoryed hundreds of miles of coastline in the vicinity of their home base. Kent survived by being elsewhere at the time, visiting with distant relations in the interior. Cut loose from any family bonds, Kent relocated at age seventeen from the jungles of the southern hemisphere to those of Florida. He was once again able to record on film the scenes of the land around him, watching the light change, often waiting days to capture the right moment.
