Artist's Statement

I have always loved to draw and paint. In the Fall of 1999 I began teaching myself to paint with watercolors. I find it to be an exquisite medium capable of expressing anything the artist feels. I personally like bold, strong compositions, and a complete range of values in my paintings. I try to put feelings, emotions, and drama into my work. I can only paint what I feel strongly drawn to and what excites me personally. Then and only then is the painting "art" because it has heart! Please enjoy!
