In the summer of 1991, I received a Professional Dog Training Diploma from a dog training academy after completing a three-month course there to become a dog training instructor. I have been interested in and actively reading and studying dog behavior since 1987. I have trained several of my own dogs and have worked with other people as they learned to train their own assistance dogs or family pets. I have also assisted a breeder with training problems, as well as working at several kennels. I had volunteered for a local assistance dog organization one year. I've worked as a dog trainer at three places and have had my own dog training business. Recently, I have been advising dog owners via the Internet and e-mail to help in solving the problem behaviors of their dog(s). Many people have been very pleased with my advice. Due to two health problems, physically training dogs myself is very, very difficult so I decided to help people with training their dog just through my instruction. I currently live in Tucson, AZ. I own a big male Lab named Jasper and a female GSD mix named Ena (in-a).

This site is for helping people understand dogs in general, their behavior and the different training methods. I give my philosophy of how to apply these different training methods and the behavior problems these methods are good to use for to help you control your dog. I'm providing helpful instruction at this site for dog owners and the inexperienced dog trainer. I welcome e-mail from those who need further advice.

I believe in dog training which is effective, safe, and quickly gets the purpose of it's application across to the dog during command or behavioral training. Most of these methods are my own methods, which are comprised from various sources of dog training books, trainers and my own personal experiences of training various different breeds of dogs.
