N 7358V is Troy Foster's 1969 17-31TC Turbo Viking!
This Viking is based in Long Beach, CA (LGB)
"Pristine" is the very first Turbo Viking!
Troy writes: "When Shirley and I sold our interest in 'Christine' N93554 (Miss April) we immediately sought another Turbo-Viking. Luckily we found 7358V in Oswego New York. We fell in love with her on first sight and made a full cash offer after first flight. 'Pristine', as we call her, has wonderful manners and a most pleasing demeanor.
In addition to being 'Christine's' older sister, she is the oldest sister in the '31 series. Bearing serial number 31001, she is the first Turbo Viking and the first Lycoming powered Viking. She has a 3200lb. maximum gross weight, and a 290 HP IO-540 G1E5 twisting her fan.
According to sources who observed her birth, she has been to 29,000 and cruised at 260 MPH in that thin air, setting a record for Piston-Singles that lasted nearly 2 years.
She had 1435 TT when purchased, and 1482 now. With my instuctor in the right seat, our flight to retrieve her to our home base at Long Beach served double duty as my instrument X country.
I don't think Troy and Shirley Foster will ever give her up for adoption. She is our baby... and is here to stay!"
