Curtis writes: "228CM is a 1973 Turbo Viking that I have been rebuilding for the last 3 years. I purchased it June 25, 1997. This plane had not flown since 1990. It was just recovered by Weber's Aero Repair in Alexandria, MN using the Air Tech Coatings process. They did a great job. I have done all the work myself except the recovering."
"8CM has 50 hours since major on the engine and 65 hours on the prop, a new NSD360 HSI, Horizon Instruments P1000 digital tachometer, GX50 IFR certified GPS, Century III autopilot, Electronics International UBG-16 engine analyzer, KMA-20, KX170B, MX170, KN65 with digital indicator (KI266), dual glideslopes and KT76A transponder. I also received field approval for and installed an Aerostar air-oil separator system."
"At this time I am working on an STC to put the high volume oil pump in the narrow deck/standard flange Lycoming IO540-K1E5. I feel this will solve the high oil temperature and low oil pressure problem in the Turbo Vikings not having the wide deck engines."
