Fred writes: "281SV is Bellanca's 2000 model. The only new unit out the factory doors in the year 2000, but still giving Bellanca a good start into the new century. 281SV in owned by Fred and Kay Olson and spends much of its time enroute between Garden Grove, Iowa, Harrison, Arkansas, and Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The 550 engine gives cruise speeds of 180 knots plus at 2400 rpm, several knots over our previous 520 powered Super Viking. With just a little help it's not uncommon to see the GPS at 200 kts. 281SV is equipped with a EDM 700 engine monitor, Strikfinder, Argus 5000 color, King 90B, Arnav Star 5000, PMA 7000 intercom, Shadin Fuel Flow, S-Tec 60-2 auto pilot, King Radios, King Digital Transponder, voice recorder, leather interior, and has a five hour range with reserves. To top it off, the ride and handling are as superb as all other Super Vikings! What can we say, it's a great airplane and there should be more of them out there!"
