The Show: Music is an art form appreciated by the ears.  But how does a deaf person appreciate music, let alone write an entertaining multi-media pop musical for the hearing world to enjoy?

Jay Alan Zimmerman single-handedly takes on the most difficult and challenging task a composer could ever face in his exciting new show:  writing and performing a multi-media pop musical when you can’t hear half the notes on your piano.  Will he give up his music to his growing deafness or go on with the show?  Through songs, video, and sign language, he explores both possibilities as he touchingly and comically recounts his journey from a normal life of hearing to the day his hearing began to disappear and his life since.  Jay’s performance is really good fun and a moving piece of theater about dealing with unwanted change…one you are likely to remember for a long time.
