"Detroit's Abandoned, Abused, and Homeless"
For sixteen years, Victory House has fed special Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to those in need, along with ministering the Love of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit to each individual. Not only at Thanksgiving and Christmas, but each week after giving out the Word of God to those with an open ear, the people were fed from a pot full of delicious soup, stew, or chili. Pastor's good food soon brought on the name of "Mel's Diner" for many who had not entered the door of a "restaurant" in years.
Pastor has helped men in working situations. Enabling them to learn faithfulness and responsibility, and compensating them accordingly.
Groceries have been given to families in the Jefferies Projects and the inner city of Detroit. "Miss Jean" in particular was thrilled to receive certain items that she would have never been able to purchase.
Bars of soap were given to men ... who received them as though they were bars of gold.
Men have been born again, healed, delivered from addictions, and filled with the Holy Spirit of God. One man, after receiving the Holy Spirit and deciding to follow the Lord, slipped back into his previous life style. He actually stole from Pastor. But the story does not end there. After being under such conviction, he repented, apologized, and asked for true forgiveness.
This is the kind of change that the city of Detroit needs!
And now, with "The Mission", located in Elmira, Michigan, we were gearing up to take on more individuals who need this kind of help. A place, away from the hustle and bustle of the inner city, to teach, change and revolutionize lives for God's glory and for His Kingdom. Please pray and agree with us as we want to follow God's perfect plan going forward.
