Our Wounded Warriors

Prayer Request

This is a personal request, to please keep this young man in your prayers.
He was mortally wounded when the vehicle he was in,
was blown up as he and his fellow marines where returning from a mission Tuesday.

This young man is the son of very dear friends of mine.
A family that is strictly military all the way. His dad served in the 1st Gulf War
and his brother is presently serving in the USMC as well.

If you wish to leave a message for Mason and/or his family,
please sign their Guest Book.

UPDATE:   A message from Joe and Marilyn.
They have asked me to let you all know, that they have read your postings
and emails and wish to express their thanks for all your support and prayers.
They regret not being able to personally answer or reply back to each of you,
however, when circumstances allow, they will.

Mason still remains in critical but stable
condition.
Let us all continue keeping him in pray.

"War Powers Granted"

With today's situation hovering over us all, it is imperative that we
SUPPORT our Military Troops. In the coming days ahead, more will be
deployed and it is important that they know WE are here for them.

Those who served before know "the deal."  We civilian's NEED your input and
direction so that we who have not served, know how best to support our troops
.

Read one such example, in an open letter to President Bush, as written by a Veteran
egarding the recent Iraq Resolution: A Dismal PR Failure by the Administration

For those deployed/deploying over, your input is important as well.
The holidays are around the corner and many letters and cards will be sent to our Troops.
Your letters back can and DO make a differance. Read about how one of those cards that
was sent at the onset of the first time around with Saddam, affected one little first grader.

In Support of our Soldiers
VetsCenter will keep this candle burning,
here on the Homefront
"It is the soldier, not the reporter,
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the campus organizer,
Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag."
