This Veteran's Code of Conduct

I
I am an American Veteran, supporting the forces which guard my country and our way of life.
I am prepared to endure but not create humiliation, or render my life in their defense.

II
I will never surrender our Constitutional Rights of my own free will.
If outspoken, I will never surrender the Honor of our ranks who have no means to resist.

III
If coerced by self-seekers I will continue to resist by all means available.
I will make every effort to escape spin-doctrinalists, and to aid others to escape.
I will accept neither parole nor special favors from individuals, manipulative
powers or agencies.

IV
If I am a Veteran of War, I will keep faith with fellow Veterans of all Eras.
I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades.
If approached, I will take command, no media or unlawful agencies shall control me.
If not, I will Honor the words of those before me and will back them up in every way.

V.
When questioned, I will render the Truth, without embellishment or self-indulgence.
As a Disabled War Veteran, I will evade those who would manipulate my words
or appearance for an unjust purpose.
I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and allies or
harmful to our cause.

VI
I am a responsible American Veteran standing for Freedom,
and dedicated to the principles which made my country free.
I am humbled never forgetting our POWs, MIAs or all who have died before me.
I savor the flavor of Freedom, and will not let it be trampled upon nor lost.
I do not forget my Friends nor do I forgive my enemies.
I am a Veteran, I remember, I vote.
I trust solely in my God, my Family,
my Colors and the Constitution of the United States of America.
