I have not fully explored
your site, but like it so far. I found your site quite serendipidiously. Was
looking up Mycoplasma Fermantans Incognitus and its possible implications
in Gulf War Syndrom. I've recently decided to get help from the Vietnam Veterans
Association, in order to get help for vets that i know. They are presently
getting only marginal help. Recently, where i work, the compamny terminated
everyone with less than nineteen years of service. This included several Vets.
In Michigan, there are some state laws, which give combat veterans certain
perks and reliefs, such as waiver of property taxes for the year; not needing
a vending license, etc.. I've been trying to give them this information. Also,
information on VA benifits that they may be intitled
to, such as prescription coverage, medical check ups, etc.. As i said, i am
new to this but have found there seems to be some political posturing, and
deliberate confusion created by various governmental organizations to not
give what i feel is due to our forgotten soldiers. For example: Qualification
of a benifit(s) may be determined exclusively, it seems, by a coin flip or
wording. My suggestion is that if you need help, approach
a non-governmental organization such as the Viet.Vets, FIRST, then try the
VA. You then make the decision what is in your best interests. Best of luck.
THANK YOU ARMED FORCES PERSONEL PAST AND PRESENT!
