BACKGROUND
I. Barash, President
Irvin Barash has close to four decades of comprehensive experience regarding mergers & acquisitions, venture capital, technology commercialization, corporate planning and entrepreneurism. He holds an MBA from the Columbia University Business School and a chemical engineering degree, BSChE, from Drexel University.
He is President of Vencon Management, Inc. (VMI) which has been involved in all aspects of renewable energy including photovoltaics, solar thermal, biopower, biomass energy, biofuels, ethanol, hydrogen, fuel cells. Other sectors of interest to VMI are electronic and advanced materials, photonics, optics, chemicals, and semiconductors. He has been chairman of industrial companies including a manufacturer of silicon products, a significant material used in the manufacturing of semiconductors and solar energy panels.
Mr. Barash has been involved in solar energy and other Greentech ventures from the outset of the industry in the early 1980’s. In this regard, VMI provided its expertise to Atlantic Richfield. Texas Instruments, Westinghouse, RWE/ASE. In the mid-1990’s, VMI, under contract to the U.S. Department of Energy, created a venture forum initiative, called the NREL (National Renewable Energy Laboratory) Growth Forums which converges new renewable energy ventures, seeking financing, with leading venture capital firms. The initiative has continued for more than ten years to the present, having spawned growth companies in this sector.
Prior to VMI, Mr. Barash was Director of Planning of the BASF Corporation, one of the world’s largest chemicals and related products businesses with revenues of about $70 Billion. At BASF, Barash’s efforts resulted in successful acquisitions of companies in the U.S. His team was responsible for accessing deals, review, negotiation and post closing implementation as well as planning for new large industrial sized facilities.
In prior affiliations, Barash was responsible for mergers & acquisitions at W.R. Grace, a leading chemicals and medical products company. At Belco Petroleum, an international petroleum and coal producer, Barash was Assistant to the President with responsibilities for organizational matters and external growth. He held executive positions with EBS Industries and particularly focused on directing long-range business planning and acquisitions for the billion-dollar conglomerate which owned business in engineering and chemicals.
Barash has been on numerous U.S. Government panels regarding the commercialization of alternative energy, photonic and other technologies. He has been a Trustee of the Edward Teller Foundation. During the early 1970’s, Barash was Director of Economic Studies for the Price Commission, a White House initiative to stabilize pricing.

L. Unger. About three years of private equity activities have been undertaken by Laurence Unger. Included in Unger’s background have been gas-fired power plants and wind power. Experience has regarded due diligence, start-up business development, renewable energy credits (REC’s), hedging gas and electricity practices. Unger has a BA from Oxford University, U.K.
H. Li Li has experience evaluating investment prospects with hedge funds and other financial activities. She has performed market, operational, and revenue analysis and projections. She has developed forecasts and macroeconomic indicators. At Vencon, Li evaluates new product technologies and alternative energy ventures for investment, reviews plans and interview management for market, operational, structural, and revenue capabilities, researches industry trends and drivers and recommend commercialization strategies, assesses new venture opportunities and sources deals at events and conferences. Ms. Li has a MBA from NYU (New York University) and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Columbia University.
R.Turkedjiev Turkedjiev has worked on various financial activities with Lehman Brothers. Some activities are: Analyzed returns of bond indices with $6 trillion benchmarked against them globally. Evaluated macroeconomic and capital markets trends and formulated strategies for market outperformance; Assessed investment opportunities using risk/return valuation, examined portfolio performance using proprietary analytics platforms. She has written and co-authored 54 research publications on fixed income performance across asset classes and geographic regions. Turkedjiev has a Bachelors degree from Brandeis University.
L. Abdulina Abdulina has experience with Goldman Sachs, Ernst & Young and others. Ms. Abdulina has specialized organization knowledge regarding managing life cycle processes of staff, management of candidate hiring and background checks. She is a graduate of Niagara University.
