I first met the Gores back in the late sixties when they were both working at the Tennessean newspaper; she, as a photographer, and he, as a reporter. I was working, at that time, in the Tennessee General Assembly as Administrative Aide to the four State Senators for Davidson County. Since the time I met them, I've found them to be two of the most honorable, straightforward persons I've ever met in Government. And, I've met a few.
