RanD Angel Dolls
The RanD Angels are a poly-resin ball jointed style 15.5" fashion doll released in January 2006. The dolls are the first fashion-type dolls to have the ability to change their eyes and wigs for a lot of customizing options. The heads open up and eye putty can be used to insert various 8mm acrylic or glass eyes to give the dolls unique looks. They wear size 5/6 wigs and are a strung, fully articulated doll. My original doll is the Hiroko style doll. There are three dolls issued in the first series, Hiroko, Selina and Emma and a special edition called Karen issued as an exclusive to the Haute Doll magazine. Dolls are limited to 100 each style and have slightly different face sculpts. Each doll also comes with 2 wigs, angel wings, lingerie and a cute matching angel teddy bear! These basic dolls retail for $150.
In late 2006, the second series of dolls was released, a dark skin doll called Nirvana Honey and two other dolls, Earthly Flesh and Heavenly Snow. The dolls are much improved with color molded into the resin now (not painted) better stringing and less chipping.
