My HealtheVet Releases Online Prescription (Rx) Refill - 14 Sept.
The VA is happy to announce that Online Rx Refill has been released!
This new service will allow veterans who currently receive medications
from the VA to manage their prescriptions and order refills online.
The veteran must be an enrolled patient in the VA health care system
to receive this benefit. To use this service, you must register
with My HealtheVet.
Once youve registered, simply log in and select My Prescriptions
under the My Care tab. Options that are available
are "View Prescription History" and "Refill Prescriptions."
To refill your medications, select Refill Prescriptions
and select the prescription numbers of the medications you wish to refill. This past year, My HealtheVet has released an array of new services for veterans,
their families, and VA employees. The introduction of the personal health
record (PHR) was just the beginning. The PHR allows veterans to maintain
and track their health conditions in their My HealtheVet health journals,
including their over-the-counter medications, allergies, military health history,
medical events, and tests. Vets also can include personal information
in their health journals, such as emergency contacts, the names of their
health care providers, and health insurance information. Another helpful
feature allows users to track their blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol,
body temperature, weight, and pain readings in their Health eLogs.
