1 Dec. 2006 We are happy to report, one hundred and fifty (150) boxes have been sent to Redhorse in Iraq. We would like to give a great BIG Thanks, to those of you that responded, when we became involved, in getting Christmas stockings and boxes of supplies sent to Redhorse. God bless you! Web Manager 11 Oct. A "snail mail" letter was sent to a Red Horse POC, in Iraq, notifying him of what is being planned, and if shipment to him, for the troops, was acceptable. We received an email from Iraq, this afternoon. (Name and email address have been deleted, for obvious reasons.) ----- Original Message ----- To: usaf-redhorse@earthlink.net Sent: Wednesday, October 11, 2006 3:29 PM Subject: Letter - Operation RH Christmas Stocking WOW!! what a great letter you and your wife sent. We are honored you are thinking of us. Had it not been for Great Americans, paving the way and setting the high standards of the RED HORSE community, we would not have the Legendary reputation that precedes us. What can I do to support your efforts from here? I've copied my boss, the commander of 823d RH and currently the theater RH commander. Again, on behalf of the team here, thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Please know we are safe and strive everyday to live up to the good name of the HORSE!! TO THE HORSE!!! Gig'em

Beginning the last week of October, 22,000 Christmas stockings, will be filled with "goodies", and shipped to deployed troops. We are working with "Operation Shoebox" to get some of those Christmas stockings to our REDHORSE troops. We have Redhorse POC for shipments! We will be assisting in packaging stockings for shipment. (We want to be DARN sure our REDHORSE troops get some!) PLEASE, donate something or stick a couple of dollars in an envelope. Send Christmas cards with letters in them. Post cards are also great to send in the packages. You can pre-address the postcard to yourself or your organization with a note asking the service member to please let you know if they received the package. You DO NOT have to put a stamp on the post cards, the service member can mail them for free back to the states. ********************
