Yes, this is what a bug would see just before he smashed into our windshield. The WC-130 had a fairly spacious cockpit - it had to if five people were to do their jobs properly. This is a different crew from the photo you just saw. The two pilots are up front (our copilot, Kim, isn't sleeping; she's just "resting her eyes"). In the center of the photo is our engineer, who looks like he's writing down some engine data right now. There's me, second from the left. I probably should be doing something else (keeping us on course, maybe?), but I thought I'd have a little fun with the camera. In the far background, you can see our Weather Officer, looking a little disgusted at the whole scene. I took this picture by setting the self-timer, then placing the camera on top of the instrument panel. Notice how everyone is wearing headsets - its pretty noisy in a WC-130!
