On Kitty Carlisle's last episode (temporarily, it turns out) before moving to California, Bud Collyer recites a poem: "Christmas won't be quite so jolly, it won't be as happy or gay, there'll be much tinsel and holly, for Kitty is going away. So many have moved West, and now Kitty will be making her home out there too, I wish I could say something witty, but I can't when I'm feeling so blue. I'm sure you'll all join me in praying, for Kitty the best that there is, but the panel and I will be saying, through all of our grief...that's showbiz!"

The classic guessing game in which a panel questions three contestants in order to discern the only expert, "To Tell the Truth" remains an enduring Goodson-Todman panel show.

Dedicated to the history of the "To Tell the Truth" game show in all its forms,
"To Tell the Truth" on the Web is a cooperative project designed to offer
research and help former contestants locate their series appearances.
