Goal: To Draw upon those who are peripherally involved in "17th Century Living History" as well as those who are interested observers of the hobby. This event is sponsored by The Kingdom of Lucerne, Inc and Marischal’s Regiment.

1. The fort, the is now a strict NO GLASS BOTTLES policy in force, my apologies to any who might be affected by this.

2. Clothing requirements: Good (non-synthetic) clothing appropriate to the time frame (1580-1650) covered by the school. Those who do not have appropriate clothing should wear jeans and a long sleeve, non-synthetic shirt. Expect the clothing to get powder stained, muddied, etc.
3. If you are staying overnight please bring sleeping bag/bedroll, pillow and a blanket as they will not be provided.
4. Hat and heavy leather work gloves (military track).
5. If you are on the food plan, please bring your own eating utensils: cup, plate, bowl, knife, fork, spoon, napkin.

6. Optional military track items to be used following inspection and under direction of appropriate instructors:
Three weapon fencing mask, padded fencing jacket, Hanwei/Armour Class/Bailiff Forge blunt swords

 

Billeting:
Sutlers: Sykes Sutlering and Graceful Designes will be located in buildings. Additional sutlers will be billeted on a first come, first served basis and may require tents.
Participants have priority on buildings, based on attendance. Reenactor instructors and support personnel may consider bringing tents. If those who own them are willing to bring them, larger tents could serve as "dorm tents".

Concept: To provide an entire weekend experience for participants as well as instructors and other support personnel. By using Fort Mifflin we are postured to provide overnight accommodations for those who wish to have something besides a day long experience.

Water, wood, powder, match

Tracks:
Participants should sign up in advance for either a civilian track or military track

     

Civilian Track Prerequisites:

No minimum age

No mobility stipulations

 

 

Military Track Prerequisites:

Minimum age of 16 for practical training (i.e.: not dry fire)

Must be able to walk and stand for periods of up to 30 minutes

Must be willing to handle firearms

Instructors, support personnel and participants may arrive after 5:00 pm. Please advise of your arrival time so that we may be prepared.

While no actual meal will be provided Friday, there will be assorted light snacks available.

Pickups at Philadelphia International Airport can be arrainged prior to arrival.

3:00-5:00 Break down and departure (Since the site usually has a good amount of visitors on Sunday's they have asked us to stay until the site closes. We will, therefor be providing activities until 5 pm for those who choose to stay.

*While we hope that we will be able to answer all questions within the class schedule, we have set aside Time with individual instructors to permit indepth discussion.

In addition to the above, a children's track may be offered if we have enough demand. It would include both military and civillian classes geared toward those under 14.
