Mission Critical Executive Recruiting Why The Boland Group: Mission Critical Executive Search™? Mission Critical Executive Recruiting™

Our clients tell us that We offer a truly unique performance based approach to attracting -- and retaining -- talent.

Our clients (and candidates) choose to work with us because we find the best qualified candidates for their most important – or most challenging to fill – positions in the shortest period of time, through a combination of old fashioned referrals and sophisticated technology-enabled sourcing strategies.

Our clients choose us because we take on the "Difficult" Searches, the hard ones others avoid or which have failed: We pride ourselves on tackling the particularly challenging assignments -- for very confidential searches, highly specialized qualifications and experience, hard to find skill set combinations or remote geographic requirements.

Our clients award us assignments exclusively, mindful of the resources of our broad and deep network of worldwide recruiters whose expertise we leverage on their behalf.

We require an initial engagement fee ranging from the traditional 1/3 of the retainer to a negotiated flat fee at the outset of the search: typically, the higher the client's initial investment, the shorter the time to complete (ability to dedicate more resources to fresh research early on in the search) and the lower the overall cost of the search fee as a percentage (25% to 35%) of first year cash compensation.

We can incorporate incentives into the fee structure for time sensitive searches.

We can link subsequent fee payments to clear performance milestones: candidate acceptance, candidate interview, candidate offer, offer acceptance and candidate start

We have a 100% request for repeat business on every retained search we've ever conducted for a new client (precisely because we do NOT accept every assignment offered -- only those for which we're confident we have the requisite resources and expertise. We sometimes invest in preliminary market research (a presearch) the results of which vary. Sometimes the presearch data suggests that the search is very unlikely to be successful as currently envisioned (e.g. location, compensation, availability, etc.) Some times the data suggests that the client should go into the market directly. Other times, we may conclude that we're not the best firm to conduct the search, in which case we refer the search to a firm that is most likely to be successful.

We bring time-tested "best practices" to every search, along with the flexibility to tailor our approach to the needs of our individual clients

We do more work for fewer clients -- we typically do not take on any more than 5 to 7 active assignments at a time, for no more than three to five clients. This ensures we have the time and resources to focus on execution.

Business development is a direct function of excellent search execution: most of our searches -- and all of our profitable ones -- are repeat business with -- or referrals from -- existing clients.

If your organization's human capital requirements for talent acquisition, retention or outplacement fall at the intersection of our core competencies below, we may be able to assist you on your next -- or most challenging -- assignment.
