11th Annual Three Rivers Ferret Follies Fun Match & Picnic!
Silent Brook Barn, South Park, PA 11:00am - 6:00pm
Our 11th Anniversary!!!
Join the TRFC and tons of ferret lovers from around the Tri-State area for a fun day in the sun! The Follies have always been a good time for all involved and has brought lots of ferret owners out from the woodwork. Come check out the fun in store for you & your fuzzy friends!
Come to the park for a day of ferrety fun! Everyone is welcome – ferret owners as well as those who just like ferrets. There will be ferret games, prizes, a potluck lunch, 50/50 Cash Drawing and the biggest raffle you have ever seen and more!
Please use your own judgement and common sense when bringing ferrets to the event and please do not bring sick or ederly ferrets.
Activities will include:
Pot-Luck Picnic Lunch: The TRFC provides hotdogs, hamburgers, drinks, utensils and plates. Please bring a food contribution if you plan to participate in the potluck picnic. Let Kathy Stewart know what you’re bringing kathleenstewart@comcast.net.
Raffle: A Chinese raffle of ferret-related items will be offered. Drawing will be at approximately 5:00 p.m. Corporations, shelters and other ferret lovers donate wonderful products for us to raffle off. You don't know what you are missing if you don't stop by to check out our selection! If you have an item to donate to the raffle, you will receive a free business card sized ad in our picnic program (if you send in advance). Click here for the information you need to donate to the raffle.
50/50 Raffle: A 50/50 cash drawing will be held. Tickets are $1 each.
Games for the Fuzzies:
Paper Bag Escape: Each ferret is placed inside its own paper bag, which is then rolled down to the halfway point. At the mark, owners place the bag on the ground and let go. We will award the ferret first...and last! to exit the paper bag!
Chariots of Fire: Using a pre-constructed "chariot" (aka cardboard box with a string) - you will pull your fuzzy to the finish line. If your ferret leaves his/her chariot - you must stop and place the ferret safely back inside the chariot before continuing. Each ferret gets to keep his/her chariot as a special reward! This game is limited to 20 participants.
Ferret Jockey: Owner assumes the "horse" position while a helper places the ferret in the "jockey" position. When the mark is sounded, owners move on hands & knees toward the finish line. First "horse" across wins. The trick is, you must have your jockey in position the entire time you are moving. If the jockey should choose to leave its mount, the horse must stop and the helper must replace the jockey before forward movement can resume.
The Great Sock Escape: Each ferret will be placed into an adult sock (to just beyond the front feet). The fastest and slowest ferret to escape their sock will be awarded in this competition.
Matchbox Races: Matchbox cars will be arranged on a track, the ferret to push their car the furthest (with the help of a treat) down the track.
Cup Tip Surprise: Ferrets are enticed by a "random pattern" of cups. The ferret to knock over the most in one minute is the winner. Random cups will hold a special "surprise" inside!

Admission: $4.00 members, $5.00 non-members (includes 3 free raffle tickets).
Fun Match Cost: 1 ticket per match, tickets cost $1.00 each. Tickets may be purchased at the Registration Table.
Raffle Ticket Cost: Items over $20 value: $2 each or 3 tickets for $5; Other items: $1 each or 7 for $5.
