About Me………
I believe that
being a talk radio host is not only about having views, and expressing opinions, but explaining to the listener how one
arrives at those views, and opinions.
Unlike most hosts, I’m not
a former DJ, or lawyer, politician, or a journalist. I’m not even the son of a lawyer, or a politician, or a journalist. I come
from a modest background, growing up in a very small town in California. My two
brothers and sister and I were raised by our dad, who was a mailman, and mom,
a nurse. By American
standards, we were a lower-middle class, blue collar family. Predictably,
my parents were both staunch supporters of the Democrat party. I graduated high school and went on to
college as a music/liberal arts major. As one might guess based on my upbringing, and
college background, I followed in the
traditions of my family and held fairly liberal beliefs. That is, until I began my career as a professional
musician. In my career, I have been blessed to have traveled to 6 continents and 45
countries. My experiences are as broad
as they are diverse. I have performed
for dignitaries such as the Queen of England, Nelson Mandella,
George W. and Jeb Bush and a host of others. I even performed for ( gulp ) Bill Clinton at
his 1996 Inaugural celebration ( which was the most expensive in Presidential
history. ironic, isn’t it? ) At the same time, I have seen the most poverty ravaged cities
in the world, from the ( former ) Soviet
Union to the shanties of Soweto, South
Africa. In short, I have seen the best and the worst this world has to
offer. From extreme wealth to extreme
poverty ( the likes of which the majority of Americans simply cannot fathom ). This experience offered me a very unique
perspective and changed my views about American life and politics forever. I gained the type of knowledge and insight
that simply cannot be obtained from a Harvard Law Degree. Each time I would travel outside the U.S. I
was more and more grateful for all of the blessing of being an American. I also became more and more disenchanted with
the negativity and pessimism of the
liberals and the Democrats. Their definition of America’s “ poor and oppressed “ are
simply unrealistic and completely out of line with the realities of the world
which I began to see first hand, with my
own eyes. I learned that being poor in
America is actually considered rich by much of the rest of the world. I also began to take note of the Socialist
underpinnings of the Democrat ideology.
In my travels, I have been able
to see the failings of Socialism around the world and how it actually crushes
the human spirit by stifling creativity,
ingenuity and innovation. It is
for these reasons and a host of others that I became conservative. God blessed me with not only these life
changing experiences, but also with the
ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner. I felt compelled therefore, to find a vehicle to use these gifts that God
gave me and Talk Radio seemed to be the perfect place. My objective is to share my perspectives in
hopes of persuading more Americans to stop listening to the Liberal Left
who’s only message seems to be negativity, as well as envy and jealousy of anyone who
has even one dime more than you do.
Instead, I want to project a more
positive message of how incredibly lucky we all are to live here. To be grateful for the unique blessings of
simply being an American and living in this,
the greatest, most free and
prosperous nation on earth.
