A life wasted chasing trains?....not really.

Trains have been good to me. They provided a great career (Southern Pacific and GATX Rail), a lot of fun, and some life long good friends. Not to mention an excuse for traveling around the world. I grew up on the San Francisco peninsula, and I can probably blame my fascination with trains on my father commuting on the SP. Then the local Road Foreman of Engines was a patient in the doctor' office where my mother worked, and soon I was employed in engine service. It just evolved from there.
