From Hawaii, our friends the Sticklers, and their fab label, Wet Noodle Also from NYC, the indomitable In Crowd The Brothers O'Malley should have a movie made about them! Their band, The Shakes, are one of the top power pop acts around. The lads got Party! Also in the dairy group, hailing from Park Hills, KY are the fab-o Throbs, who now go under the name Hally Mill, and while they no longer crank out great Milkshakes-inspired beat-punk, they still rock. FUN! From Canada, the Wacky Hi-Jinks of Prankster/Goblins/Evaporators front-napkin, Nardwuar The Human Serviette From Warren, PA get cock-a-doole krazy for Cock-A-Doodle Kazoo! Also based somewhere in the Warren, PA/Texas region is the fabulous She's Gone records! From Los Angeles, the best live performer I have ever seen... Harvey Sid Fisher! Check out his hilarious songs about Astrology, Golf, Releationships, and his Mommy! Also from Los Angeles, one of the most rockingest bands on earth, The Muffs. Nobody can scream or write amazing pop songs like Kim can, except maybe Lisa Marr of Buck! My good pal Kevin Feely is also from Los Angeles. He used to occasionally play lead guitar with the original lineup of The Kung Fu Monkeys, but is mostly known for his introspective, witty bedroom pop songs. He turned me on to the Beach Boys'. Brothers in arms... well, not quite, but Ruth's Hat does feature the Sloan brothers. From NYC, the Hissyfits. From Italy, the finest and cutest punk band around, The Stinking Polecats.
