Descendants of Nicola Romagnano

The common ancestor to everyone in our family is Nicola Romagnano of Postiglione, (Salerno), Italy. He had two sons, Giuseppe and Alfonso. Giuseppe had a son, Angelo who was the first to emigrate to America in 1889. Alfonso had two sons, Luigi and Ettore, who also emigrated shortly after Angelo, first Luigi then Ettore. They all arrived at New York and settled in Camden, New Jersey. Angelo later sent for his family. Ettore later resettled in The Bronx, New York. They all changed their names to Romaine. We are all descended from one of those three immigrants.

It is the duty of future generations to preserve this information which is an important part of our heritage. --Tony F. Romaine.
