14. "Tony" Anthony ROMAINE. Born 6 Aug 1898 in Camden, New Jersey. Died 16 Jul 1979 in Camden, Camden, New Jersey. Buried in New Camden Cemetery, Camden, NJ. Occupation Welder. aka Tony.

 

Notes:

Brother, Joseph Romaine, certified birth on delayed birth certificate dated 1 Sep 1942, and signed along with Anthony.Numerous documents show middle initial, "T." His nephew, Frank J. Romaine, said he was known by both Anthony AND Tony.

Born at 261 Ferry Ave., Camden, NJ.

Played the guitar. Played in a band with his nephew, Benny and a friend. They would play in local Cafes. He probably taught his nephew Nicholas (Bruce) to play the guitar.

He was a "gregarious" person. Later in life, he was hard of hearing. --Paul Romaine, Sr.
