SETGRAY is a program that automates the otherwise tedious procedure required to use grayscale in SCORE. SCORE's method requires that the items requiring grayscale be sorted together using the RNUM command, and _99 text items with PostScript command be inserted before and after the items in question. SCORE makes this a lot of work to do, and if you sort the file with OS, OH, or OT, then you've got to start all over again! Yikes!
SETGRAY makes graying items so simple, you'll actually want to play with the program to see the kinds of grayscale results you can get!
To use SETGRAY, you simply "flag" an item for grayscale by setting a value in a parameter. You then process the file with SETGRAY.EXE, and it takes care of the sorting and _99 item-creation for you. It's that simple!
SETGRAY allows you to make items translucent (meaning that other items, like stafflines, will show through the grayed item), or opaque (meaning that the grayed item blots out anything beneath it.) The translucency and opacity are both user-controlled, and both types can be used in the same file.
Once an item has been flagged to be set in gray, you can add as many other items to the file, delete items, change the sort order with OS, etc. It doesn't matter! Just run SETGRAY on the file before printing, and you're done!
SETGRAY is a 32-bit console application...
"What does that mean?"
SETGRAY looks and feels like a DOS application, and has a text type-out interface like PAGE, JUST, and SCORLAS. In reality, however, it is a true 32-bit program. Therefore, SETGRAY requires Win95, Win98 or higher MicroSoft OS to operate, even though it can be run in a DOS box in those operating systems.
SETGRAY is a program no Score user should be without—order your copy today!
