SETCOLOR is a program that allows you to set ANY item in RGB color or CMYK color, using the PostScript setrgbcolor and setcmykcolor commands. This is something that would otherwise require sorting specific items in the file with the RNUM command and the addition of _99 PostScript text commands--YIKES! Plus, if you use the conventional method, then once the work is done, if you OS, OH, or OT the file, your work is destroyed and you have to start all over again. Yikes again!
To use SETCOLOR, you simply "flag" an item for RGB or CMYK by setting a parameter flag. You then process the file with SETCOLOR.EXE, and it takes care of the sorting and _99 item-creation for you. It's that simple!
Once an item has been flagged to be set in RGB or CMYK, you can add as many other items to the file, delete items, change the sort order with OS, etc. It doesn't matter! Just run SETCOLOR on the file before printing, and you're done!
SETCOLOR is a 32-bit console application...
"What does that mean?"
SETCOLOR looks and feels like a DOS application, and has a text type-out interface like PAGE, JUST, and SCORLAS. In reality, however, it is a true 32-bit program. Therefore, SETCOLOR requires Win95, Win98 or higher MicroSoft OS to operate, even though it can be run in a DOS box in those operating systems.
