Eye Dissection Lab
During our study of the nervous system, we dissected a sheep eye. We had lots of fun looking at the lens (which looks like a milky, odd-shaped marble). We got to see the structures of the eye and figure out the function of each.
Here is Burton wearing the eyes.
Here is a closeup of the back of the eye. The blue shiny stuff is tapetum. It is what causes animal eyes to "glow-in-the-dark."
Sierra and Allison are dissecting while Adam watches.
Nicolle, Anne, Frederick and Levins are studying the eye model in preparation for the dissection.
This group of sixth period students are having fun with their dissection.
