ARRIVAL IN DELHI

We began the journey in Detroit on the 1st of July and arrived at the airport in Delhi on the 3rd at about 10:30 p.m. It felt like two days, but had just been one with all the time changes. Mr. Das and entourage met us at the airport, put our luggage on a bus and drove us to the Intercontinental Hotel. Our plane trip had been uneventful but long; and, by the time we got to the hotel, we were all on autopilot.

As we registered a young woman placed a dot of crushed rose petals on our foreheads, and another put a lei of marigolds on our shoulders. It was a lovely way to begin this adventure.
