"Thank you for helping make our 40th Anniversary Gala Celebration a success. The DeLorean's appearance, along with your openness and gracious nature toward our guests, made a key impact on this wonderful evening." Mike Williams |
No other car in film or television history has made such a 'timeless'
impression on audiences than the DeLorean Time Machine from 'Back
To The Future.' The car was literally a central character throughout
the famous movie trilogy, the script involving intimate details
of the cars functions and showcasing it's various interior and
exterior components.
(Even Batman and James Bond must agree, the 'Flux Capacitor' is a handy automotive upgrade for making time travel possible!)
The Time-Car appeared at the FX2002 Show in Orlando, Florida. It greeted fans at the entrance to the BTTF.com exhibit, featuring the largest 'Back To The Future' collection in the world, with over 100 authentic screen used items from the hit movie series. For the first time ever, fans were allowed the opportunity to see this very special car up close and even climb into the cockpit for photographs!
|
Universal Studios took the opportunity to interview the current owners and film the vehicle and crowds enjoying the car for possible bonus material in a future DVD release of 'Back To The Future.' The Time-Car has since made appearances at DeLorean car shows, parades, various tradeshows and convention centers across the U.S. The owners have also assisted in raising funds for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
