Welcome to Tim's Jukebox page

As a youth, I had one of these. A 1950 Wurlitzer 1250. I spent many an hour working on this wonderful machine even if it didn't need repair. I had no service manual, only my gift of logic to guide me through the operation. On my 13th birthday, my mother informed my that 78 RPM records were no longer being manufactured. Again, I was able to "convert" it to the 45 RPM format and entertained many a party with this work horse. I am ashamed to admit that as a young adult, I found it an eye sore and sent it to jukebox heaven. Now as a mature adult, I see the error of my ways and oft times feel guilty about my actions.
This is my current prize. A 2800 manufactured in 1964. I have restored the "Golden Bar" feature that allows you to get 10 pre selected songs for only 50 cents.

This is my most recent acquisition.   An AMI/ROWE JEL manufactured in 1963.  The mechanism has a completely different operating philosophy than the Wurlitzer. It is in very good condition and I am looking forward to performing some routine maintenance on it.
