How Star Trek can make itself good

You're probably asking yourself 'Whats he talking about here?'.

Well, if you've really studied Star Trek, theres a formula as to how you can make it good. Now, this only applies to the four series (Star Trek, Star Trek :The Next Generation, Star Trek : Deep Space Nine, and Star Trek : Voyager) and not the movies since I've only seen 4,5,7 and 8 so far in total, and 2,3, and 6 in part. Now, whats the theory as to how to make a good Trek series? You need one bald guy, one human guy with facial hair, and two women, all in lead roles. I'm serious, look at how the shows are.

Classic Trek had no bald people, no one with facial hair, and one main woman (Uhura), and look how campy it was. Look at Next Gen. They had a bald guy (Picard) and a guy with facial hair (Worf), and three women (Troi, Crusher, Yar),all in the lead. Now, soon enough, they killed off Yar and Riker grew a beard, and the show started getting pretty good. Of course the show REALLY started taking off, but thats on a different topic.

Anyway, move on to the next show, Deep Space 9. Now, they started off with two women (Dax and Kira), but no bald people and no one with facial hair. BUT when Sisco grew his gottee and shaved his head, the show REALLY started getting good. Of course, now that they did get rid of Jadzia Dax (Terry Ferrel)and brought in Erzi Dax, the formula will hold up, but theres always the writing and acting. So far from what I've seen of her, the show is still pretty much where it should be. And yes, there is Worf with facial hair, but I'll get to that later.

OK, now look at Voyager. They started off with a bald guy (The Doctor), no one with facial hair, and three women (Janeway, Kes, and Torres), and the show was lame. Now, move ahead into the series a little, and they get rid of Kes, so maybe they're getting closer to the good show pattern. But what do they do? They bring in ANOTHER female character, Seven of Nine. This is why Voyager can't get anywhere good, they got too many women on the show. I say, just get rid of Seven (she's just a lame character, and if shes supposed to be the shows "sex symbol", I don't see it) and give Paris a gottee or something. And before you start saying 'Well, Nelix has facial hair', well, it's gotta be a human. I mean, Worf had facial hair, but the Next Gen didn't pick up until Ricker got a beard.

One other thing that might be true on this, but please correct me if I'm wrong. I think that Majel Barret hasn't been on Voyager yet on-screen. Sure, she may be doing the computer voice, but she has been on-screen. Why did i bring this up? Well, she was on screen on the other three series (Number One on Classic and Luxaina on Next Gen and DS9), and Next Gen and DS9 were excelent series, so that might have something to do with it. Of course, if she HAS been on-screen on Voyager, then this part is null and void. Oh well, the other three parts still fit at least.

Of course, Gene Roddenberry's death didn't hurt either.
