OK, well, this is called the Get to know me section, but, I'm not sure what to really put here. So, if there's any questions you might wanted answered, then just ask and I'll see if they're worth putting up here.

So, looks like I'm finally getting aroudn to changing this thing around a good amount. With what, I have no idea, but, well, lets see where this thing goes then, huh?
As of right now, I STILL don't know what to say here. Never did like filling out stuff about myself, in a way, but I guess it coudl jsut be because I don't know what's intresting and what isn't, and eventhough I could just spout out some stuff here, well, who's gonna actually read it though, right?
Going by the page, one thing that's obvious is that I am an action figure collector, focusing primarily on Star Wars, with some strong ventureing into The Simpsons, other 3 3/4" (1:18) scale figures, music based figures, and some other random branching out fits as well. I'm also into customizing, but not to the level of some people, mostly I jsut do repainting and some slight kitbashing type things. I have gotten some complements on them though, so I guess I'm doing some good stuff with them anyway.
As far as music goes, about the only stuff I DON'T listen to is country, Top 40 style pop, and hardcore gangsta rap. Country I HAVE tried to get into though, but theres just, something about the way the actualy rhythem of it all goes, I dont' really know what it is. I'm not saying it sucks or anything, but it's just doesn't get my intrest like a lot of toher stuff does. My two favortite bands are They Might Be Giants and Oingo Boingo, and I'm constantly looking aorund websites for new bands, mostly looking around audio collage kind of bands. They're just more intresting than most bands anyway, but looking through my CD collection, you'd never know what the hell I'm listening to.
I dont' watch much TV anymore, but I make sure to at least watch and record Adult Swim every week. Other stuff I do try ot watch on a regular basis are Good Eats, Press Your Luck (but not that crapfest revival version Whammy), Iron Chef, and The Daily Show. Pretty much everythig else on TV is crap, though there are a few shows I'd buy DVD sets of, like M*A*S*H, The Cosby Show, Sledgehammer, Brisco County Jr. Beans Baxter, Eek the Cat, and probably a few others. Of course, some of those are probably jsut pipe dreams, but the way things are now with all the nitch markets out there, I'm sure some of them might get released.
I do try to read a good amount, though I have horrible pacing with it, since it takes me a while to actually read, and I'm usually pausing for a day or so between stints, so I coudl take me anywhere from a day to up to two months to read a standard size novel. I used to be really big into comic books, but between artwork that looks like ass and prices goingo up like every six months, it just started not being worth it, so now I'll just pick up the occasional TPB every so often. It works better that way I think anyway, since I don't have to worry about vaule or anything while reading 'em.
As for this webpage, it's been around since June 1998. It started on Prodigy Classic, with like ONE meg of space, and for what I had to work with, people were impressed with it. I have always tried to keep it low on graphics, and free of any kind of whiz bang flashy kinda looks, unlike the crap you see on the average Trigeofire page. It may seem impersonal, but I've always thought that webpages should just be made so you can look around, find what you want without having to go through fifty billion Java/Flash menus, and get out and go somewhere else. Oh sure, some pages are alright with them, but come on, do you REALLY need all kinds of "toys" clogging up your page that's just gonna make it load a lot slower, or other kind of "highly dynamic and exciting stylish" things that jsut end up looking gaudy in the end? If you've REALLY got to do that, at least offer a version for lower-end computers (this is why I hate this stupid ass "web standards" movement, whatever it is that's all about making your page for the latest version of whatever web browser. Oh sure, it's nice to have your webpage working with whatever super apps that come out, in theroy, but don't forget what else works in theory. COmmunism, organized religion, Arron Spelling, corned beef and cabbage, boxes, in theory. But god forbid someone with a 14.4 modem goes to that webpage has to deal with "web standards", and well, you might as well jsut plaster a big "Fek off slowboy" sign on it. If everyone in the world had realatively easy access to cable/DSL/whatever other high speed internet there is, well, then the whole web standards thing wouldn't be as bad, but people don't, so for now it's crap.
Of course, even if that were so, I'd be against it since I just like simple looking web pages anyway where it's just easy to find stuff without having to fight thoguht a bunch of Flash menus and chirping birds
Guess I did better writting this thing then I thought I would. Yay me. Anything else you think might need to go there, jsut ask then, I don't care.
Ok, well, I did get one question so far, and it is something that i probabyl should have put here to begin with. The question asked was "What is a Xyg?". Well, to answer it, it's the name I went through high school with. How'd I get that you ask? Well, my original nickname was Ziggy/Zig, but, to put it simply, i got bored with that spelling, so, working on the fact that Xenomorph is spelled the way it is, as is xylophone, I decided to spell Ziggy "Xyg-E". Then I got tired of saying "Dash-E" everytime someone asked me how to spell it, so it became Xyg.
As for the The H. part, here their explanations. The The part came out since I figured I'm the only one there is, so I should a The. As for the H., it's jsut there, like Harry S. Truman. OK, so i put it there so ILM can sue me for my initals (THX). Whe cares, it's still cool looking and sounding.
As for the Lim part, that came about from Ultima Online, and really the first message board I started posting on, and now that's jsut become sort of my internet handle, but I'm too stubborn to drop the Xyg part, and really Thelim doesnt' sound too bad as a name.
OK, here goes:
First, I want to thank Sandy , who without her help this page wouldn't be up. (OK, so I havn't talked to her in GOD knows how long, but she did give soem advice on how to con, er, talk, my mom into letting me put this thing on to the old ISP we had, so, um, yeh)
Second, I want to thank Marly, who gave me my first mention on a web page (whih actually got aroudn the internet, so she also kinda got me some lousy fame, I think.).
and lastly, um, oh hell, I don't know who else. God, some of the people that used to be here I don't even REMEMBER them, let alone having talked to them in a while (re : since at LEAST 1999) so, well, I'll figure this one out soon. Or something. Whatever.
