Xyg's Thoughts on Various Action Figures

Well, as the title suggests, this is where I'm gonna just give my thoughts about action figures that've been released since, well, when ever action figures began showing up. Also, it'll include my Top 10 Favorite Action Figures and Top 5 Least Favorite Action Figures, both of which will be updated about once a month or so, but there'll be dates by them so you can see when they were updated. The same will go for the action figure thoughts, since that'll be updated when I fell like getting some thoughs about some action figure out. There is also going to be a wishlist of figures I want to see made, and that'll just get updated whenever I feel like it.

Yeh, I know, this could look a LOT better. But for now this is what I've decided to put up, just so it's up. Soon enough I'll work this a little better, maybe just toss in a few pics for the wishlist or something like that.

Xyg's Thoughts

Spawn series 1-12 (McFarlance Toys)
Cy-Gor 2
This things a big-ass monkey with a little robot monkey that sits in it's stomach!!! What more needs to be said?!
The Horrid
A really great dragon figure, but could've been given at least elbow articulation
The Mangler
Could've been a lot better with knee joints.
Transformers : Beast Wars
Silverbolt (Trannsformers:Beast Wars:Fuzors)(Hasbro)
Probably the best of the Fuzors, and definitly one of the best of the Beast Wars line.
Resident Evil
Tyrant
Not bad, but could have been a LOT better with the articulation, and the heart pumping action could have been executed better.
G.I.Joe : A Real American Hero
Ninja Viper
Since when do ninjas wear TEAL suits?
Star Wars
Mace Windu (Star Wars:Power of the Force 2?)(Hasbro/Kenner)
Rather nice likeness of Samuel L. Jackson, so it'd make some nice Jules figures.
STAP with Battle Droid (Star Wars:Power of the Force 2)
The figure can't stand up, it's the only one that can use the vehicle, and I don't even wanna get into the action feature.
Jedi Spirits (Star Wars : Power of the Force 2)(Hasbro)
Immoble Translucent Inaction Figures are more like it. They fit right in with the rest of your Star Wars figures...from a certain point of veiw.
Uncle Owen (Purchace of the Droids)(Hasbro/Kenner)
Is it just me, or does he look like Brian Dennehy?
Marvel Universe
Robot Fighters Storm, first version (X-men:Robot Fighters)(Toy Biz)
More like Robot Fighters Tina Turner.
Blink (Marvel's Most Wanted)(Toy Biz)
Bow-legged lavender chick with mini-javelins. Yeh, jsut the toy EVERYONE wants.
Spat and Grovel (Marvel's Most Wanted)(Toy Biz)
Not a bad set of figures, but I doubt they're seriously two of Marvel's Most Wanted figures.
Deathlok (Marvel Cosmic Defenders)(Toy Biz)
Even after something like 7 years after being made, this is still one of the better early Toy Biz figures.
Captain America (Spider-man Electro Spark/Star Spangeled Heroes)(Toy Biz)
Why did they use John Tesh as the face model?

Xyg's Action Figure Wishlist
Wuher (Star Wars)
Dammit, they made the cantine playset (OK, backdrop) and you get a white shoulder pad Sandtrooper with that idiotic patrol Droid. Why didn't they give you a Wuher (the bartender) figure instead? That would've made sense at least.
Darkhawk (Marvel Comics)
I've jsut always liked this character. Make him in his original costume with fold out wings and light-up power gem. In fact, make it a two pack of Darkhawk and Chris Powell so you can switch them back and forth.
Sleepwalker (Marvel Comics)
Another character I've just always liked. All he'd really need is light up eyes and come in a two pack with Rick Jones.
Fantastic Four 4 Pack
Yeh, they've had two shots at action figures from Toy Biz so far, but lets face it, neither of them were worthy of "The World's Greatest Superheroes". So let give them their third shot and do it right. Put them in one of those "Marvel Collector's Editions" multipacks, ala The X-men and The Avengers, but do them up in their original Kirby-esque style (thats Jack Kirby for those of you wondering). Make them as a Mr. Fantasic with a body like Strech Armstrong, a sparking Human Torch (but do him up better than the original one though), a Thing that looks more like lumpy Play-Doh than rocks, and a color changing Invisible Woman (hey, can't mess with a good idea). And since it may need to be a 5 pack, put in either an Alicia Masters or a Ben Grimm figure. That'd be better than a Mr. Fantastic with rubber arms.
Lobo (DC Comics)
Now that the direct market is getting all the REALLY cool toys, this guy is in dire need of a figure for it. GIve him a real chain to wrap on his forearm, some space dolphins, a big ass flying motorcycle, and a "fart when you sqeeze 'im" Dawg compaion, and I'll buy 50. :)
